Julia Jean is a Colorado based actor & director who hails from Vermont.
Hi! As stated above, my name IS Julia Jean and I’m an actor-director who hails from Northern Vermont, lived in West Harlem, and now lives in Summit County, Colorado. I hold degrees in both Theater and British Literature from the University of Vermont and attended the Atlantic Acting School.
Whether onstage or off, my greatest love in life is a good story (hit me up if you have any good book recommendations).
I made my New York directorial debut with Thank You for Knowing Me(with Megan Piggott), and my second New York production — a site-specific Romeo and Juliet staged at St. John’s in the Village — is selling out quickly! Whether working with Shakespeare, new works, or TYA, I am eager to collaborate with an ensemble of actors to bring compelling stories to life and engage audiences.
I appeared most recently onstage in the Vermont premiere of Wharton, Between the Sheets at Middlebury Acting Company. I recently appeared onscreen in a micro-short titled Bittersweet, directed by Dylan LaRay and Lost and Gone directed by Will Carter.
Over the summer of 2025, I worked with Performing Art at Vassar College on an ensemble piece devised at the Lehman Loeb Museum.
